This past August my mother passed away suddenly. It was amazing how much actually needs to get done when someone dies. It can be really overwhelming, especially when you end up in charge of the estate. Not only was I in charge of the estate, I was also 8 months pregnant. My brothers and I were at a loss of what to do with all the stuff in my mom's house. As much as we would have liked to do the sale ourselves, we just did not have the time to get it done.....and futher more, the emotional capability.
Thats where Art comes in....
My husband called around looking for someone who sets up and runs estate sales. My mom's house is not big , but she had some great collectibles.....and just lots of stuff! Some of these businesses will only take the job if its a huge estate and lots on antiques...and most of them, are really snotty. BUT NOT ART. He answered all my questions on the phone and was up front about his price and what services he offers. Then he came out to the house to meet me and take a look around (no charge). He accepted the job and we decided to go with him ...and before I knew it the house was being organized and set up for the day of the sale. Art and his assistant did an amazing job! He took pictures of all the items and posted them on his website . He advertised all over, including places that only "estate sale go-ers" know about. He also kept me updated on how the progress was going by email, without me having to track him down and ask. Also, after the sale, what did not sell, he packed up the boxes and put them into one room and organized for all the leftover items to be donated (totally optional). Art and his team were extremely sensitive to our situation and could not have been more professional and genuine.
Taking care of an estate is a really big job and I highly recommend you consider letting someone do it for you, and that someone should be Art (Arie Lane Estates)
In retrospect, I can't imagine what it would have been like selling my mother's things, and physically it would have been impossible being as pregnant as I was. Now, the baby is here...and all we need to do is put my mom's house up for sale. I can't thank Art enough for his honesty and hard work during this crazy emotional roller coaster. Not one regret.

When an Estate Sale is not possible consider Art from Arie Lane Estates for ebay consignment. My mother passed away and had many nice collectibles. We met with Art and he informed us that ebay would bring a higher profit than having a garage sale or selling the items on our own. Boy was he right!!! My mom had a nice collection of items. We were at a loss as what to do. Art is very knowledgeable about collectibles and antiques and knows the market value. He picked up the items, did research, kept us informed and paid us right away after items sold on ebay. All the items sold. We were surprised about how much her items brought. We would have never thought we could get that much. We are very happy with the outcome and would highly recommend Art. We appreciated his honesty and hard work and would not hesitate using his service again. Great job Art!

It is with my deepest appreciation I regard Art Gabel and his professional Estate Sale expertise and service to you. He managed to take a personally, very difficult time for me and my family and make a perceived monster of a project, a very pleasant experience.
Mr. Gabel and his staff are cordial, thoughtful, and extremely efficient. He and his staff were sensitive to my family's concerns.
I had a wide variety of items to sell-from furniture, from antique to modern, valuable clocks, crystal, cut glass, china, rather unique things like a bear skin rug, rare victorian case clock, jewelry, collectibles, books as well as basic household items. He throughly researched particular items for their value and always informed me on his progress and the goal of getting the most return at sale. At no time did I think he had anyone's interest in mind except mine and my family.
Arie Lane's commission was very fair and very competitive as I checked with other services and sellers.
Lastly, I need to say how organinzed and efficient he and his staff was in the preperation and staging of my sale. He was quiet and professional, always about his business; maintaining a very friendly, trusted decorum within a positive atmoshpere.
I was very happy with the results. My sale went great. Art and his staff did all the work. From set up to clean up and after the sale made arrangement for what little was left to be donated and provided me with a letter of donation.
